Lemon Law Attorney Presents Continuing Education Seminar
The Pennsylvania Bar Institute selected Craig Thor Kimmel, of the Ambler, PA-based Lemon Law Firm of Kimmel & Silverman P.C., to make presentations at two recent continuing legal education seminars on lemon law litigation.
Throughout the seminars, attended by area attorneys, Mr. Kimmel spoke at length about the recent changes in the Pennsylvania Lemon Law, including the inclusion of leased cars; the possibility of future addendums, and various other Federal statutes which can be used to further aid consumers with defective vehicles.
As legal consultant to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Consumer Affairs Committee, Attorney Kimmel has worked with government for more than four years in continuing efforts to strengthen consumer statutes. In addition to his work with the Pennsylvania Lemon Law, he helped to draft the nation's first Computer Lemon Law bill.
Kimmel has appeared on various news programs and talk shows throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and California, and was recently featured in stories in Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine and Consumer Reports. He is also an automotive advice columnist for Debtsmart.Com, a frequent guest on the Comcast Network's talk show "Real Life" and he answers consumers' automotive questions every month on WCAU TV's lifestyles program "10!".
Mr. Kimmel's firm was also recently honored with Meritorious Recognition from the American Bar Association for their continuing efforts, the first law firm of its kind to receive such an honor.
