Recent Lemon Law Refunds and Repurchases
The end of the year is here but we have been busier than ever at 1800 LEMON LAW assisting distressed drivers with their defective vehicles. Since many folks don’t believe how well the State Lemon Laws and Federal Warranty Statutes work, we always like to update readers on recent refunds and repurchases. i have a badly leaking sunroof on a 2010 dodge Van, it has been in for repairs 5 times and Chrysler now says it is my fault for not keeping the drains clear. I live in NC can you help OR reccomend someone who can in the Raleigh area. THANKS for anything you can do.

I have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata that is making a clicking noise from the back. Sounds a lot like the case above, “2011 Honda Accord, clicking noise in rear from being welded improperly, replacement vehicle under Massachusetts Lemon Law plus attorney fees. I own a 1997 jeep grand cherokee with only 68,000 miles. I was told that most if not all jeeps made in this year have developed cracked manifolds like mine now has. Jeep had to redesign the manifold system.
1) Can you help me get this fixed at no charge since this seems like a lemon that was proven already? 2) Should this have been a recall or is it a recall item?

My son own a 2003 PT Cruiser and it has very low miles and the turbo blew out. I heard this was a common defect from his mechanic. Is their any recalll or any lemon law that can help my son? He was told it would cost $1,500 and he is a recent college graduate, with college debt up to his ears, who now lives in Florida for the past 4 years. He bought the car from his maternal grandmother’s estate in Pennsylvania. He desperately needs a car to get to his first job, which pays not much.
Please help us.

Lawrence: Unfortunately, due to the age, this car would not fall under the Lemon Law but I would contact your state attorney general’s office to see if there are used car statutes which may apply.

hi,
i recently brought a brand new toyota highlander 2012 hybrid paid over $46K. but it’s been less than 3 months and not even 1500 mileage but i had to call road side assistance 3 time already because the battery went dead.
i went to service but the guy told me my battery is fine and refused to replace. now i dont want this car. what a piece of shit? i have two kids and a busy job, reason why i paid so much money for this toyota car because i thought it’s reliable but this one is not. can i get the car returned with full refund?

I purchased a Landrover HSE, paid 89K and I have electrical problems.
My bluetooth is unclear, My CD skips, My auxillary port has loud humming sound, A I-phone which they told me I had to buy $700.00 because the car was designed for that phone says device error when you try to use it, radio repeats songs and skips.
I have purchased 3 different I-Phone , and still can’t get it to work. There telling me I need to change from sprint to Verizon and try to get an older phone. I have taken the car into service 9 X to no avail.

I purchased a 2002 Hyundai stanta fe four days ago. “As is” from a dealer. The ac compressor went out. Is the seller responsible for repairs??

@Betty: if it was sold “as is,” most likely no. Contact your state attorney general’s office to find out if there are any implied warranties with used cars sold in your state.

I just got 2009 chevy silverado 1500 ,3 months ago. Financed $17,000 . I drove 1,824 miles in 92 days . Took truck to chevy dealership for engine light diagnostic. Service repersenitive informed me , mechanic tecnishion replaced cracked spark plug.tecnishion requets a compreshion test to pin point problem. After i accepted extra charge for test, i was told i need new engine. He then disclosed the tecnishion droped broken spark plug fragment into engine. . But the damage is pre exsisting . After i contact service manager, they dinied wrong doing but taerd open engine at no cost to exsamen.? They are now asking $7,200 for engine replacement and dont recomed i leave with my truck. I have been dealing with this 1/31/2018
