@Deanna: Most likely due to the age, no. But I would contact your state attorney general’s office to find out if you have a used car lemon law in your state and what would qualify.

I recently purchased a 2015 GT. The car has a defective paint job (there is visible fibers/hairs under the paint on the roof)….the color of the paint on the body does NOT match the bumper; it’s two-tone and what’s crazy is that it’s white. I was told that the car does not appear to have a prime coat which would explain the two-tone color. The dealership agreed to “spot” paint the roof/defective area and I was told that a loaner car would NOT be provided because it’s not covered in the warranty as I would have to find my own transportation while the car is in the shop. Why do I have to come out of pocket so they can fix what screwed up?? I live 2hrs away from the dealership. From what they are saying, I basically have to pay for my own inconvenience…..I’m located in Louisiana.

I have a 2007 Acadia and have had issues with it almost the entire 3 years I have had it. The battery is constantly dead, the sun roof was leaking water inside my car going straight to the fuse box which was making car not turn off after the key was off and out of the ignition. When reading reviews it seems like most other owners are having the same issues, but I haven’t seen any recalls. Is there anything that can be done. I’m looking wanting to trade it in but of course I owe more than what it’s worth

@Cheri: The age may be a big problem and the Federal law would not cover a 10 year old car. Certain states do have used car lemon laws though. I would encourage you to call your state attorney general to see if there is anything they can do.

I recently purchased a Audi A5 a little over a month ago . I purchased it in New York. I have been having oil and coolant leakages since I bought the car . I filled the coolant to max on Friday and on Thursday when I checked it it was under the minimum . With my oil I gave it an oil change a week after I got the car . Three weeks later it said I was low on oil and had to refil the oil . Would this be considered a lemon .

Hello, my husband and I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 and it has been nothing but problems. We purchased it used April 2015 with 52K. Since purchasing it, we have repetitively taken it back to the dealership to have it fixed under the warranty, but they would give it back saying there’s nothing wrong. As I learn more about lemon vehicles, the dealerships were slick and didn’t put anything into the system every time we brought it in about complaints for repairs (besides the original dealership did much more – such as selling us a vehicle with bank approval, sold our trade, then 5 days later demanded that we bring the truck back because funding fell through because of a typo on their end and they had to get us “rebought”), the dealerships just said it was all in my husband’s head. Anyway, the computer has never worked right, the blower for heat/a.c. doesn’t work right, after oil changes there’s a knock (which they just say is “a hemi knock”), the acceleration cuts out going uphill, the front end doesn’t feel right, the computer says to come in every 10k for an oil change, blinker switch sticks and I can’t remember if there’s more or not. This truck has been an issue since day 1. We’ve tried to get it fixed under the manufacture warranty to no avail. We even bought an extended warranty, I don’t know why, it’s useless. Now we are outside of the 100k (at 105k) manufacture warranty and no one will help us and we are stuck with this truck for the next 5.5 years, if it doesn’t die first and become a very expensive lawn ornament. The truck was purchased in Milford, PA – is registered in DE, and right now we are at our winter house for the time being in Woodridge, NY. Is there anything you can do to help or guidance as to where we can turn to for help? Any help at this point would be GREATLY appreciated!
