Sadly, in our states, the car would not qualify. But I would reach out to the Florida Attorney General’s office to see if there is something that can be done.

I’m looking at a manufacturer buyback that I’m being told is due to pinpoints in the paint. It seems odd to me that a car would seriously have been bought back due to paint. Can I ask the dealership to call corporate with me there or something like that to confirm exactly what the reason for buyback was? They said they will show me a paper but how can I know it wasn’t adjusted? If it is just a paint thing, I think it is worth taking the buyback title – I have no intention of selling the car, if anything, it will get passed on to all the teenagers I’ll have coming up in the next few years. They said the car is still covered under all the original warranties because it’s now certified pre-owned (a branded dealership is selling the same brand buyback). As long as I get that all in writing am I good or is there fine print that usually voids warranties if the title says buyback?

Michael: Perhaps depending on if you have a GM warranty. Very concerned about the miles though. Click here https://www.lemonlaw.com/lemon-law-firm.html and reach out to an attorney in your neck of the woods.

I purchased a 2011 sonata at carman last year with 25k miles still under Hyundai warranty even purchased an extended warranty from carmax good to 125k now the car has been in dealer shop multiple times approx 12 times eg. Cvjoints replaced twice , trams issues. Ac compressor once cooling fan twice steering column once and many other misc issues
But I read that in order for car to covered under lemon law It must be a new or demonstrator purchase directly from dealer is this true and would I have any recourse thru carmax the car now has 53k miles on it and in the shop as I write Thank you for your time. Ovi ortega

2015 Chrysler 200 (purchased new in November 2016). The car had 2,100 miles on it but they sold it to us as (new) on the contract. We have driven the car for 400 miles in total. The car accelerates, sometimes harshly, when downshifting even with the brakes applied. Chrysler replaced the transmission 4 days after we purchased the car. The dealership had the car for 22 days to replace the transmission and then returned it to us. After 3 days we took the car back to Chrysler for the same unintended acceleration. We have had the car for 7 days and the dealership has had it for 26 days as of this morning. What should we do?
