Living up to its name, the return of the Ford Fiesta created a great deal of celebration in the automotive industry. A popular car last seen in North America thirty years ago, the Fiesta provides drivers with an extensive list of options, high fuel economy, and a price tag that does not break the bank. And it appears there are quite a few consumers who love their car, as evident by the the four and a half star review on Edmunds.com.
Sadly though, not everyone is enjoying the Fiesta. The National Highway Traffic And Safety Administration has received over 20 consumer complaints so far, with more than 50% of the distressed drivers citing transmission troubles. Those citing the transmission say they have been experiencing shifting, jerking, and lunging forward, as well as loss of power and metallic noises when downshifting.
If your Fiesta has not left you in a celebratory mood, it’s important to look into your State and Federal rights. Often with newly introduced models, there are certain technical glitches that need to be ironed out, but these problems should not be at the drivers’ expense. If you think your Ford Fiesta may be a lemon, fill out our Get Rid of Your Lemon form or give us a call at 1-800 Lemon Law and we will glad to discuss your situation and if/how we can help.
