Recently, at 1-800-LEMON LAW, it has come to our attention drivers are dealing with new Ford Explorer problems, especially in 2020 and 2021 models. Specifically, drivers of the Ford Explorer have mentioned problems with the transmission, and fuel system. Other common Ford Explorer problems include, but are not limited to, brake problems, electrical problems, and engine problems.

According to ConsumerReports.org, when starting and stopping, the Ford Explorer is reported to lurch forward, and get stuck in between gears, with the transmission making it tough to shift. Another Ford Explorer problem is a noisy engine, especially loud when in a lower gear.

At CarComplaints.com, there are countless complaints coming in from drivers with Ford Explorer problems, specifically with the fuel system. One commenter from Kentucky reports that “When starting at intersections or stopping you can hear and feel the fuel tank sloshing back and forth. I’ve taken my vehicle to the dealership and they confirmed the noise and documented it. They reached out to Ford which said they knew of the issue and at this time there is no fix.”

If you are experiencing Ford Explorer problems, take your vehicle to an authorized Ford service dealer immediately. Under State Lemon Laws and/or Federal Warranty Statutes, if you have had your vehicle in for repeated visits or have lost the use of your vehicle for a large amount of time, you may be entitled to a complete repurchase, a new car, or a significant compensation to reflect the diminished value.
