One of the best parts about owning a new car is that solid feeling of powerful and seamless acceleration. Nothing destroys that experience faster than a hesitation in your transmission after pushing on the gas pedal. On the 1 800 Lemon Law hotline, we are hearing lots of complaints about Ford Expedition acceleration problems. Our friends over at Carcomplaints.com are getting reports of Expedition owners having issues with acceleration.
One owner from Texas reports that, “When initially pressing the gas between gears 3-5 it frequently seems to completely lose power for a few seconds and stops accelerating. Since this occurs when initially pulling into a street or highway, it is very noticeable as I have to step on the gas rapidly to avoid an accident.”
If you are experiencing issues with acceleration on your Ford Expedition, take it into an authorized Ford service dealer immediately. Under State Lemon Laws and/or Federal Warranty Statutes, you may be entitled to significant compensation if you’ve had your vehicle in for repeated visits or have lost use of your vehicle for a large amount of time.
If you’re experiencing persistent Ford transmission problems under warranty, make sure you contact an authorized Ford dealer and keep a record of any and all repairs. You may be entitled to a complete repurchase, a new car, or significant compensation for the losses you have experienced. If you are ready take advantage of consumer protection laws to get back on the road of recovery, fill out our Get Rid of Your Lemon form. We will be glad to discuss your situation and determine if and how we can help. We also serve customers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
