2015 Honda CR-V Vibration Problem Has No Solution

If you are driving a 2015 Honda CR-V, you may be questioning if the V stands for vibration. We are receiving numerous calls on the 1-800-LEMON-LAW hotline from folks complaining of a Honda CR-V vibration problem in the 2015 models, and according to a tech line summary article issued by Honda for their dealers, it does not appear that the service departments have a fix.

The article, distributed to dealers April 7, 2015, reads “We’re aware of customer reports of this concern and we’re actively reviewing it by analyzing available data and customer comments and doing actual vehicle testing. Our review is still in progress, so there’s no product improvement available at this time.” The vibration may be present when the car is at idle, under light acceleration, at low speeds, between 1100 and 1500 rpms, or between 1600 and 2200 rpms.

So in the case of the Honda CR-V vibration problem, what do you do if you are dealing with an issue and the manufacturer does not have a fix? How can you provide proof that you have continuously been experiencing the problem? Should you suffer with a problem if the car company has no solution? Are you expected to just deal with it?

The answer is simple–you need to continue to bring the matter to an authorized manufacturers dealership and make sure they provide a repair invoice for each visit, with date, mileage in and mileage out. The invoice should illustrate that the adviser verifies the problem but no fix is available. Every time you are at the dealer, whether for an oil change or a service, make sure you mention that problem is existing and make sure it is recorded. And once you are back to the shop three or more times, you should look into your rights under State and Federal Laws. We have successfully represented several clients so far who have complained of the Honda CR-V vibration problem.

The bottom line–Do not let the car company take you for a ride. Even if they do not have a fix for an issue, the clock on your claim is ticking and if you don’t take action, no one is going to take action for you.
